The CAMS Australian Rally Championship heads to Victoria’s goldfields this weekend, with spectators to enjoy a huge night of free rally spectating at Ballarat West Employment Zone (BWEZ) on Saturday.

As competitors prepare for the compact event, with only the 2.7km Super Special Stage on Saturday evening and a full day rallying on Sunday, spectators too are being encouraged to plan their weekend in advance.

While Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia’s Harry Bates and John McCarthy look to continue their dominant, Championship leading form, spectators will also get a chance to watch FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) driver Hayden Paddon take on Australia’s best, with the New Zealander lining up for the event which doubles as a round of the FIA Asia Pacific Championship’s Asia Pacific Cup.

A jam packed entry list has been revealed for the event, which also incorporates the fifth round of the Hino Geelong CAMS Victorian Rally Championship.

Meanwhile, it won’t just be the rally action on offer on Saturday night – organisers have also organised for a Food Truck Festival at the Super Special Stage to ensure no fan, competitor or crew goes hungry.

On Saturday afternoon, all competition cars will be on display from 4pm, with the ceremonial start commencing at 4.45pm – before two runs of the 2.7km stage.

The BWEZ Super Special Stage will be located at the BWEZ, Airport Rd in Mitchell Park – just 10 minutes drive from Ballarat’s CBD.
