The pre-season shakedown for the Motorsport Australia Rally Championship 2020 season has been moved from Canberra to Victoria due to recent bushfires in the nation’s capital.

ARC crews will now test their cars at the Bagshot Motorsport Complex in Bendigo on Wednesday, instead of Canberra’s Kowen Forest.

Crews will also use the opportunity to test on the new Hoosier control tyres for the first time, following the recent introduction of the brand to the ARC in 2020.

The complex is home to a number of events for a host of rural Victorian clubs, including the Bendigo Car Club, as well as a round for the Victorian Cub Autocross Series.

The pre-season shakedown will still take place on 5 February with the season proper to be begin in Canberra for the Netier National Capital Rally on 21-22 March.
