Sydney will host the second FIA Girls on Track - Dare To Be Different event on Saturday 28 March

The Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships will host the next FIA Girls on Track – Dare To Be Different event at Sydney Motorsport Park on 28 March, with registrations now open.

Girls aged between 10 and 13 are invited to take part in the popular program, which will give those involved an opportunity to see how they can get started in motorsport, whether it’s on track as competitors or in one of the many off track roles.

The Motorsport Australia run program includes a number of specially developed challenges for young girls to give them an understanding of how they can make a career in the motorsport industry, including as drivers, engineers, in the media or one of the other roles that exist in the sport.

Those who register will receive free entry to the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships on Saturday, 28 March, including a free ticket for one parent or guardian.

Registrations can be completed by clicking here, however the event will be strictly limited to 30 participants.

Beginning at 9.30am on the Saturday, girls will take part in a pit stop challenge, test their driving skills on our simulator, take part in a fitness and reaction challenge, as well as take part in a paddock tour, with a special look at the carsales TCR Australia Series participants, alongside the many other categories taking part in the weekend’s racing.

The event will wrap up approximately 2.30pm, however participants will be welcome to enjoy the rest of the on track action at Sydney Motorsport Park on Saturday.
