FIA Girls on Track go virtual

Wednesday 22 July, 2020
The FIA Girls on Track Virtual Experience launches this week.
The FIA Girls on Track will launch a new online program this week, allowing thousands of young women from around the world to get a unique insight into the world of motorsport.

The FIA Girls on Track Virtual Experience will be based off its real-life program which takes place across many countries, including Australia’s Girls on Track - Dare to be Different events, where participants meet and learn from successful women across the motorsport industry.

The program, which aims to inspire and educate the next generation of women in the sport, will involve personalities showcasing the large array of opportunities open for women through webinars, conferences and webcasts - all live streamed on multiple platforms.

With a more detailed schedule to be released shortly, the first event to kick off the new virtual campaign will be an Instagram live chat with Dare To Be Different founder Susie Wolff.

The FIA Women in Motorsport ambassador has a wealth of experience within the sport, from being a DTM racer and Williams Formula One development driver to the Team Principal of the Venturi Formula E Team.

Interested Australians can tune in live to the Instagram chat session and ask questions to Susie from 1am AEST on Friday 24 July, with Motorsport Australia also accepting pre-recorded submissions so young aspiring women don’t miss out.

Motorsport Australia can also confirm it will host its own, more time zone friendly, online sessions in the coming months. More details to come.
