Entries for the 2022 Victorian 6 Hour Relay are now open with the 15th edition of the popular event to take place at the end of July.
After multiple attempts in the past two years, event organisers are confident the 2022 event can go ahead with the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit to host.
Conducted under Motorsport Australia and the Regularity Regulations, the event will see groups of drivers form teams and attempt to hit nominated lap time targets.
Since its inception in 2006, the event has grown significantly and now welcomes more than 50 teams each year - something event organisers would not have initially expected.

Now that it is finally going ahead after two missed years, Event Chairman David Bellenger was excited to welcome back competitors to the event.
“We’re really looking forward to running the 6 Hour and welcoming many grassroots drivers to take part in it,” Bellenger said.
“The major attraction of this event is that it is open to anyone holding a Motorsport Australia Speed or higher licence.
“This allows grassroots motorsport competitors a chance to sample what higher level motor sport is all about without the added inherent costs.
“Vehicle requirements are that of a sprint, so you don't need a fully race prepared car as most are eligible and only require the normal safety equipment needed at a sprint event.
“Regularities are fantastic because it’s not a race and doesn’t just involve outright speed and requires drivers to hit their nominated target time.
“If you go quicker than your nominated time the lap doesn't count, if you hit your target time then you get the lap plus a bonus lap, if you are slower than your target time then you get only the lap, so there is plenty of skill required.”
