Sydney to host Shannons Trophy Series debut

Another big weekend of motorsport will take place at Sydney Motorsport Park, with the first ever Shannons Trophy Series starting on Friday.
 
Comprising a number of exciting national categories, the Shannons Trophy Series will also be live streamed on the Sunday of the event across a number of different platforms.
 
7plus will be the home of the Shannons Trophy Series in 2023, with live and free coverage from 9am – 5pm AEST. 7plus will also have a replay of each category’s racing from Sunday available post-event on demand.
 
The live stream will also be simulcast on Motorsport Australia’s YouTube channel, Blend Line TV and the Shannons Trophy Series Facebook page, allowing those around the world to tune in to the coverage.

The stream will be hosted by Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship co-host Dean Herridge, with the highly credentialed pair of Darren Smith and Garry O’Brien the lead commentators for Sunday’s action.

For those wishing to attend the event at Sydney Motorsport Park, entry is free across the three days and no tickets are required.
 
Both Friday and Saturday will also feature racing under the impressive Sydney Motorsport Park lights.

Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport Michael Smith said the Shannons Trophy Series would deliver some exciting racing.
 
“The Shannons Trophy Series allows categories even more access to track time at some of the best circuits around Australia,” Smith said.
 
“Motorsport Australia is proud to be running this new Series in 2023 and look forward to a great start at Sydney Motorsport Park.
 
“We’re also excited to be able to offer an all-day free live stream on Sunday from 9am. This stream will be a great opportunity for people to enjoy some great motorsport throughout the day.”
 
Round 1 of the Shannons Trophy Series takes place at Sydney Motorsport Park on 16-18 June.
