Adelaide Motorsport Festival locks in 2024 event

Thursday 06 July, 2023
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival will take place one week before the Australian Grand Prix.
The official date for the 2024 Adelaide Motorsport Festival has been confirmed, with the festival locked in for another stellar weekend at Victoria Park on 15-17 March.

The date confirmation comes in light of the recent announcement of next year’s Formula 1 calendar, which saw the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix move to a new date of 22-24 March.

A popular precursor to the international Grand Prix, the Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again take place the week before, with the timing of the Formula 1 event playing an important role in the festival’s popularity.

As a result of the close proximity of the two events, Alfa Romeo F1 star Valtteri Bottas made a memorable appearance at last year’s festival, while appearances from Craig Lowndes, Stefan Johansson, Vern Schuppan and David Brabham made for excellent additions.

Last year’s Adelaide Motorsport Festival also welcomed a record number of attendees who were able to enjoy the weekend’s exciting event line-up.

Similar to last year, the event will commence with a day of private practice on the Friday, followed by the Adelaide Motorsport Festival Street Party that night. Public on and off track events will commence on Saturday.

While the complete event line-up is yet to be confirmed, Adelaide Motorsport Festival event organisers have announced that V8 Supercars, Group C and A Touring Cars, Sportscars, IndyCars will all be on show, as well as the headline act of Formula 1 cars.

Expressions of interest are open for entrants now and can be done here, while Speedcafe.com will host the Adelaide Motorsport Festival livestream in 2024.
