Tasmanian car enthusiasts are in for a treat this weekend, with the Hobart Sporting Car Club and MG Car Club of Tasmania hosting the popular Baskerville Historics.

One of the highest-attended events in the calendar year, the popular Tasmanian race meeting will see more than 170 historic car owners unite for an enthralling weekend of high-octane vehicles on show.

The event will see cars spanning from early Holdens, Fords, MGs and much more, with it almost guaranteed that there will be a little something for everyone across the weekend.

231102_baskhist1While catching a glimpse of these historic vehicles is attention-grabbing in itself, the popular Baskerville Raceway will see plenty of action throughout the weekend – with a jam-packed schedule planned for the four-day event.

Given the impressive entry list, vehicles will be split into classes to take on the two-kilometre circuit on a number of occasions, including qualifying and racing.

However, not every entry will be foot-to-the-floor all weekend long, with intriguing Regularity sessions to grace the popular circuit in Old Beach for the ultimate test of consistency behind the wheel.

Those wishing to attend the event as a spectator can do so with a multitude of viewing areas available across the weekend, including a park and view area on the hill.

231102_baskhist2Attendees will also be treated to a John Bowe tribute on Sunday, shortly followed by the Shannons grid walk.

The on-track action is scheduled to kick off bright and early on Thursday morning at 10:00am AEDT, before a slightly later start time of 9am AEDT for the remainder of the weekend, running through to the conclusion of the final session around 4:30pm AEDT.

The Baskerville Historics will take place at the popular Baskerville Raceway in Old Beach, Tasmania on 2-5 November.
