The Repco Bathurst 12 Hour gets underway this weekend with the popular endurance race kicking off the highly anticipated Bathurst Superfest.
In what will be the 21st edition of the endurance event, 97 drivers representing 18 different countries will make their way to the famous circuit in an attempt to take out the first round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
Taking place over four days, and supported by a collection of impressive categories, fans who attend the famous Mount Panorama or those watching at home will be able to experience one of the great events on the Australian motorsport calendar.
The entry list alone will be one of the major drawcards for motorsport fans, with the likes of seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, Daytona 24 Hour winner Matt Campbell and three-time Bathurst 12 Hour winner Jules Gounan leading the entry list.
Gounan will team up once again with fellow reigning Bathurst 12 Hour champions Kenny Habul and Luca Stolz in the SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3, as the trio aim to secure their third consecutive win.
Should they achieve that hattrick, not only will they enter rare company, Gounan himself could accomplish something no driver has ever done before – win four consecutive endurance races at Bathurst.
However, the reigning Intercontinental GT Challenge champion will be up against plenty of drivers eager to secure the silverware, with eight former Bathurst 12 Hour victors and 14 Supercars drivers amongst the star-studded entry list.

The action gets underway from Friday, with four practice sessions to set up Saturday’s qualifying showdown, which features the Pirelli Shootout and the Allan Simonsen Pole Award.
Sunday is then dedicated to the great race, with the race commencing at 5:45am AEDT, and concluding at 5:45pm.
Qualifying and the race itself will be broadcast on Kayo, Fox Sports and the Seven Network, while for the first time in its two-decade history, every practice session will be streamed live and free in Australia and around the world via the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour social media channels.
Tickets for the event remain on sale via the 12 Hour website, or at the gate, while Thursday is also reserved for the traditional parade from the track to the town centre, where the drivers will take part in an autograph session.
