Over 25 events are on the cards for Australian motorsport this weekend from the west coast to the east coast, as we enter the second weekend of August.
Internationally, many competitors will head into their summer break periods, but the grassroots motorsport movement is keeping busy, particularly in New South Wales with nine events being held over the next few days.
Round 6 of the MRA Series will take place at One Raceway, Hills District Car Club will host its The Birthday Bash Motorkhana, and the Kempsey Macleay Off Road Club is slated to hold the Dongdingalong Off Road Challenge from Friday through to Sunday, capping a wide variety of motorsport disciplines in New South Wales.
Round 7 of the 2026 NAMSC NT Motorkhana Club Championship, which includes the Northern Territory Titles, heads to the Hidden Valley Motor Complex this Friday. This event will be further bolstered on Sunday when the Central Australian Rally Sports Club hosts the third round of its khanacross series in Alice Springs.
A Test & Tune Burnout and Come & Try Day held by Charters Towers Burnout Club and a khanacross event put on by the Central Coast Car Club (Gladstone) headline the events on in Queensland, while South Australian event hosts include the South Eastern Automobile Club of SA and Walkerville All Cars Club.
The Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships return this week for the fourth round of the Trophy Tour over three days of action at Sandown Raceway, with the addition of a couple of state championship rounds, Round 7 of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship and Round 6 of the Victorian Khanacross Championship with more events on top of those.
In Western Australia, TECCWA, South West Touring Car Club and Mini Car Club of WA are all listed as hosts for this weekend’s action in the state.
