Monash Motorsport have capped off a dominant 2018, claiming a first and second during the Formula SAE-Australasia at Winton Motor Raceway.
The team were brilliant all weekend as the M18-C combustion car picking up first in a majority of testing including the Autocross and Acceleration.
Finishing second outright in the combustion category was UNSW Redback Racing while West Australian team Australian Formula Collective rounded out the podium.
In the Electric category, Monash’s M18-E were unable to replicate the same success of the combustion car, falling short to German superpower Tufast Racing Team.
The Munich-based team flexed its muscles on the final day of competition claiming strong times in the Acceleration and Skid Pan testing, as well as a placing in the top three for engineering.
Despite not securing top spot in the Electric category, it was still a solid effort for Monash, with the team winning another international battle against University of Aucklan, who eventually finished third.
