The popular Dare To Be Different (D2BD) program is back in action at this year’s upcoming Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019. 

After officially launching in Australia at the same event last year, this year's busy schedule will see young girls experience life in motor sport, while being mentored by some of the program’s highly regarded ambassadors. 

At Albert Park this week, current Kumho Tyre Super3 driver Emily Duggan will be coaching the girls through a simulator challenge, while Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Romy Mayer will be educating participants in a STEM Lego Education workshop along with Moore education. 

The remaining activities will feature Erebus Motorsport overseeing the exciting Ryobi Pit Stop Challenge, while Australian physiologist Zoe Bauer will host a Reaction and Fitness Challenge. 

Following the competition side of the program, the participants will explore the innovation and technology hub followed by tours of the Triple Eight Race Engineering and the Erebus Motorsport garages. 

The program’s goal is to inspire and encourage young females to break the current trend and enter the predominantly male dominated sport.
