Need your fill of motor sport action but don’t know where to get it?
cams.com.au take a look at some events on the agenda this week, from state and national level through to grassroots motor sport.
Ada River Rally 2019
When: 29-31 March
Where: Yarra State Forest
The Western District Car Club hosts the 2019 CAMS Hino Geelong Victorian Rally Championship’s (VRC) second round in the Yarra Ranges as 28 registered crews tackle 167 competitive kilometres.
Heading into the round as championship leaders are Subaru pilots Ivan Register and Paul Humm after a brilliant Mitta Mountain Rally victory handed them an 18 point buffer over a trio of Mitsubishis headed by Arron Windus and Daniel Brkic.
Crews in the VRC will complete eight special stages while competitors in the sub event, the Ada River Rally VCRS, will complete six special stages.
There are multiple spectator points for fans to visit throughout the weekend as some of Victoria’s best rally drivers go head-to-head some of the state’s most beautiful roads.
Mt Alma Mile Hillclimb
When: When: 30- 31 March
Where: Mt Alma
This weekend’s hill climb will be the last time the event is run after 11 successful years due to the land owners making big changes to the area where the hill climb takes place.
The Mt Alma Mile Hillclimb will not whimper out though, as an incredible entry list of more than 170 cars will compete to take on the 1.6km South Australian track and the event is sure to go out with a bang.
For the final time, fans from around the country congregate in the picturesque Inman Valley to watch the high speed action through the rolling countryside in an event that has never been short of drama.
Considered one of the best grassroots events in Australia, motor sport and hill climb fans are encouraged to make their way over to Mt Alma for one last hurrah as the event says good bye after a fantastic era of hill climb racing.
With admission free for all spectators, the action starts at 11am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday.
