Shannons Insurance will remain the naming rights partner for the Shannons Nationals for a further two years, CAMS has confirmed.
National Sales Manager Paul Gates said his organisation was extremely proud to be continuing its backing of the event which has seen record numbers attend events at circuits around Australia in 2019, as well as huge viewing audiences through the dedicated live stream and live coverage on SBS.
“The Shannons Nationals is home to some very exciting racing that continues to build its audience year-on-year,” Gates said.
“We’re really passionate about our support of the event, which provides a home to some of the most entertaining racing at some of the best circuits around the country.
“Shannons is proud to have been a supporter of the Nationals since 2007, and this new agreement will see that support continue until at least 2021.
“We can’t wait for 2020 to begin in what will be another significant year, which includes visits to Bathurst and other iconic circuits around Australia.”
CAMS Director of Motor Sport and Commercial Operations Michael Smith said the support of Shannons was a terrific boost for the sport.
“We’re thrilled to have the support of Shannons continue for at least another two years,” Smith said.

“2020 will be a momentous year for both the Shannons Nationals and CAMS, which will rebrand to Motorsport Australia as of 1 January, 2020 and we can’t wait for the opening round at Sydney Motorsport Park in March next year.”
