Dates confirmed for Bathurst International

Thursday 16 January, 2020
The fifth Bathurst event will take place on 13-15 November.
The date for the highly anticipated fifth Bathurst event has been revealed with the inaugural Bathurst International to take place on 13-15 November.

As a joint venture between Motorsport Australia, the Bathurst Regional Council and Australia Racing Group, a number of popular categories will be part of the standalone event, including the TCR Australia Series, Trans AM 2 racers and heritage muscle cars, which will feature the Touring Car Masters.

With a majority of the major championships and national series to be wrapped up by November, the date will allow drivers and teams from Australia and around the world the opportunity to compete at the famous circuit.

While the Bathurst International will be the newest event to feature in the region, Bathurst Mayor Cr Bobby Bourke is anticipating an instant success due to the quality of participating categories.

“We are excited to bring this exciting new event featuring a range of cars and drivers from all over the world to Mount Panorama,” Bourke said.

“An event of this calibre will bring an international focus to the racing circuit not seen before.

“Mount Panorama has a reputation as one of the best racing circuits in the world. The international exposure of this event will elevate Mount Panorama’s prestige and showcase  the racing circuit and Bathurst to a global audience.”

The date confirmation comes off the back of the news that the Seven Network will broadcast the event, along with all seven rounds of the 2020 Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships.

Outside of the Seven Network’s live and free broadcast of the event, the Bathurst International will also be live streamed on 7Plus, Seven’s digital offering.
