Trans Am’s November Bathurst feature

The National Trans Am Series will have a special 100km feature race during November's Bathurst International.
The National Trans Am Series will have a special 100km feature race as part of its schedule at the inaugural Bathurst International at Mount Panorama in November.
The American muscle inspired category will have three races during the event, which also acts as a round of its 2020 season, with the final race to be an extended 16 lap, 100km race.
It won’t be the first time the American stock cars have raced on the iconic circuit for a long race either, with the NASCAR 100 running back in 1996, as well as the cars being part of a variety of different endurance classes over the years.
With a special trophy up for grabs during the category’s first ever race at the Bathurst, Australian Racing Group CEO Matt Braid was looking forward to what the Trans Am 100 had to offer.
“The Trans Am 100 at Bathurst will be the jewel in the crown of local and international Trans Am competition and will be a big feature of the inaugural Bathurst International,” Braid said.
“ARG understands that the current situation around the world will prohibit elements of any event, which we feel will make the inaugural Trans Am 100 a great opportunity for local entrants to maximise their time around the best racetrack in the country.
“Having these iconic American muscle car brands really speaks to the ‘International’ component of the event, and we can’t wait to see these big cars tackle the mountain.”
The National Trans Am Series will be one of many popular categories to feature during the inaugural fifth Bathurst event with TCR Australia, the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour and a special Holden Heritage Revival to feature during the weekend.
The 2020 Bathurst International will be held on 13-15 November.
