The first three rounds of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship have seen a slight date shift, following the release of the Formula 1 calendar.
Originally scheduled to run on 19-21 March, the Netier National Capital Rally will remain as the season opener but will now take place one week later on 26-28 March to avoid a clash with Melbourne’s Grand Prix.
To ensure crews have enough time to prepare between rounds, the Make Smoking History Forest Rally has also been pushed back two weeks, with the popular West Australian event to run on 21-23 May.
Given the turnaround times, this has also resulted in Rally Tasmania also moving one week later to 2-4 July.
The Gippsland Rally, AGI Sport Adelaide Hills Rally and the season finale, which will host the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship finale, will see out the season in their originally published timeslots.
