The 2021 Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup calendar has been finalised with eight rounds across five Australian states and one in New Zealand making up the busy schedule.

Starting in March at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2021, the premier one-make series’ seven other rounds will see them featured as the main support category for the Repco Supercars Championship.

Following the season opener, the series will then head to The Bend Motorsport Park in May, before competitors have another lengthy break ahead of the third round in July at the Townsville street circuit.

From then on, it’s a race meeting every month as the season continues at Sydney Motorsport Park for the special night event in August.

In mid-September, competitors will head to their fifth state in as many rounds as they move out west to Wanneroo Raceway for the first time in eight years before heading straight back to New South Wales in October for the iconic Repco Bathurst 1000.

A trip across the Tasman Sea in November followed by December's season finale on the popular street circuit of the Gold Coast rounds out the season, leaving Porsche Cars Australia Head of Motorsport Troy Bundy excited for what 2021 would bring to the category.

"After the restrictions to our 2020 program, it’s great to announce our 2021 calendar which will see our drivers continue to race at the biggest motorsport events of the year, in front of the biggest crowds, enjoying the best support and television package available,” Bundy said.

“We strive to deliver a premium class experience for all our customers, teams and sponsors and with the support of Porsche New Zealand this year, the New Zealand race promises to be a real highlight.”

“We‘re equally glad that Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup Australia will again be the premier support category on the Repco Supercars Championship for next year.

“I would like to thank our valued partners, as without them we wouldn’t be able to reinvest that support back to the drivers and customers through improved calendars, television packages, prizes as well as our Michelin Junior Development Programme.”
