Carrera Cup gets new look calendar for 2021
Tuesday 10 August, 2021
The Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia has changed its season calendar.
The Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia is the latest national series to release a revised calendar with the season to resume in October.
The changes to the calendar were forced due to the ongoing travel restrictions across multiple states, the new Repco Supercars Championship calendar and the cancellation of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
With three rounds already completed, the new schedule will see the series restart at the start of October, before heading to Phillip Island three weeks later as part of the Bass Coast Festival of Motorsport.
In November, the popular one-make series will move to New South Wales for rounds at the iconic Repco Bathurst 1000 and Sydney Motorsport Park later in month.
The season will then wrap up as originally planned on the streets of the Gold Coast for the final round.
The series isn’t the only one of Porsche Cars Australia’s major events to be impacted by the travel restrictions, with the 2021 Porsche Michelin Junior Training Workshop postponed until February next year and the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge season calendar also requiring a change.
The revised Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge will be released in the coming weeks.
