EROAD Power Stage to shine in 2022

Monday 14 February, 2022
ROAD Power Stage will provide a thrilling finish to each round of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship in 2022.
The Power Stage will return to this year’s RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship, with EROAD, a provider of Fleet telematics solutions, to sponsor the final stage of each round.

The return of the EROAD Power Stage in 2022 follows its successful implementation in 2021 at both the Netier National Capital Rally and Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland.

A shorter, quick fire shootout with bonus points on offer for the winner of that specific stage, the EROAD Power Stage has the potential to have an impact on the overall result. Crews run in a reverse top 10 order, with the quickest driver of the rally given the challenge of beating the time set by those who put everything on the line for the bonus points.

Motorsport Australia’s Director of Motorsport & Commercial Operations, Michael Smith thanked EROAD for their support.

“The EROAD Power Stage is a popular concept and one we are looking forward to consolidating in 2022, after only two rounds were possible last year,” Smith said.

“To have EROAD on board as the naming rights partner for this stage is an exciting prospect and another vote of confidence in the growing RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship. We sincerely thank the EROAD team for their support.

“EROAD’s impressive technology will also be an important tool for our rally events, with event organisers to use EROAD’s equipment to help keep track of officials and other key personnel spread out across the various stages of a rally.”

EROAD’s General Manager of Australia Konrad Stempniak said the organisation was proud to partner with the ARC.

“We’re excited to be supporting this year’s RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship as the naming rights partner for the EROAD Power Stage. EROAD exists to make our roads safer and more sustainable – and we know that safety is critical to motorsport. If all drivers took safety on the road as seriously as these guys do, we’d have far fewer accidents on our roads,” Stempniak said.

“EROAD’s technology helps fleet managers, drivers and even event organisers to manage and track their fleet from anywhere at any time – even in the most remote locations. The in-cab GPS device is also a great tool to help drivers to improve safety and reduce driving costs, by providing real-time alerts.

“We think EROAD is a great solution for motorsport teams, given the travel and logistics involved in competing at a national level in particular.

“We watched last year and know that this year’s EROAD Power Stage will be even better, and with a full season just around the corner, we can’t wait to show our support at the opening round in Canberra.”
