New South Wales based Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs can now receive a financial boost through the NSW Office of Sport’s new Grassroots Sport Fund.
The Fund is part of the state Government’s strategy to help grassroots clubs recover from the impacts of COVID-19, as community sport around the state returns to normal.
Eligible clubs can apply for up to $1000 and can claim for one of three different options, including fixed costs, irrecoverable costs due to event cancellations as a result of COVID-19 restrictions and for activities associated with a return to sport.

Motorsport Australia CEO Eugene Arocca encouraged New South Wales clubs to apply for the grant.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs in New South Wales to receive some financial support and it’s one that should not be missed,” Arocca said.
“Any kind of assistance can always go a long way, especially after two difficult years where many clubs around the country were impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.
“I urge all NSW based clubs to take advantage of this opportunity and apply to the fund as it is a relatively simple process that could help in their return to normality.”

Clubs have until 5pm AEDT on 31 March to submit their application to the Grassroots Sport Fund, with each organisation limited to one successful application.
