Taylor returns to Extreme E with Veloce racing
After an incredible debut year in 2021, inaugural Extreme E Champion Molly Taylor will return to the sport with Veloce Racing for the 2023 season.

Joining Taylor in the team for the 2023 season will be Swedish driver Kevin Hansen with the duo to replace outgoing drivers Lance Woolridge and Christine GZ.

While Veloce Racing has brought in Taylor and Hansen for the 2023 season, they will start their official partnership early, with both drivers to compete in this year's final round later in the month.

It won't be the first time they compete together either, with Taylor having joined the Swede at JBXE for the opening round of the 2022 season.

Having already had a successful stint in Extreme E, 2021 will serve as a great platform to build on for Taylor, who was thrilled to be returning to the grid in a full-time capacity.

"I had an incredible year with Extreme E in 2021 and I believe wholeheartedly in what the competition represents, both with respect to its commitment to sustainability and to gender equality,” Taylor said.

"Having had the benefit of a win in last year’s championship, it feels amazing to know that I’m going to be back in the Extreme E paddock.”

“I think we are building a very special team with the combination of Veloce's ambition and experience as well as Kevin's skill and commitment. We are setting our targets high and I'm looking forward to being back in the action."

Taylor will re-enter the series with quite the resume behind her.

In 2022, she became the first Australian woman to compete in the Dakar Rally, which came shortly after winning the 2021 Extreme E Series title with Johan Kristoffersson.

While she has excelled in off road in recent times, Taylor has extensive experience  in rally, where in 2016, she became the youngest driver to win the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship at the time.

In addition to having a mother who was a four-time Australian Rally Championship co-driver, Taylor was also the first woman to achieve a podium position in the Junior World Rally Championship.

With such a strong history of motorsport behind her, Veloce Racing CEO and co-founder Daniel Bailey was looking forward to having Taylor join the team.

"We’re delighted to welcome both Kevin and Molly to our Veloce family and we’re excited to see what the future holds for us together,” Bailey said.

"The challenges of Extreme E are unique in the world of motorsport, and Veloce is continuously evolving to adapt to this fast-paced and innovative series.”

“Next year promises to be the team’s biggest yet, but first we are looking to finish Season two on a real high.”

Taylor will debut for her new team in Punta del Este for the season two finale on 26-27 November.
