Will Power finished a solid sixth place in Long Beach
NTT IndyCar Series

The third round of the NTT IndyCar Series took place in Long Beach over the weekend, with Will Power finishing in a solid sixth place.

Power started off the weekend on the back foot as he was unable to qualify for the fast 12 – meaning he was forced to work his way back through the grid come raceday.

The 2022 champion found himself in a good spot in the final stint of the race as he used the round of pit-stops to his advantage to finish seven positions higher than he started.

Three-time Repco Supercars Champion Scott McLaughlin didn't enjoy as much success during the race as finished lower than when he started.

After qualifying in ninth, McLaughlin worked his way up to as high as fourth before his lack of pace on the green tires saw him fall right back down to 10th, where he finished.

The pair will now have a two-week buffer before they hit the track again at the Childrens of Alabama Indy Grand Prix on 28-30 April.

North American Porsche Carrera Cup

Tom Sargent enjoyed a pair of second-place finishes in the second round of the North American Porsche Carrera Cup during the same race weekend.

The New South Welshman qualified in second place before taking the track for first of two races where he dropped to third before a bold outside pass saw him steal the position back.

The second race of the weekend saw the rookie fighting for the win and exchanging places with the race leader in Will Martin before having to settle for second.

Sargent will have to wait at least another three-weeks before he once again battles to claim his first series victory - with round three taking place at the Miami International Autodrome on 5-7 May.

IMSA Supercar

FIA Motorsport Games representative, Matt Campbell found himself in third place at the conclusion of the IMSA Sportscar ACURA Grand Prix of Long Beach.

The one hour and 40 minute race on the streets of Long Beach saw Campbell and his teammate Felipe Nasr battle for the lead through the early stages of the strategy-filled race, before ultimately falling to third with only nine-minutes remaining.

Despite losing the place, Campbell and his Team Penske were pleased with the result that saw both cars finish on the podium while claiming their first ever class win in the Porsche 963.

The next round of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship will take place on 12-14 May for the Motul Course De Monterey powered by Hyundai N.
