Esports Championship information released for 2026

Motorsport Australia is pleased to announce new details for its leading Esports Championships for the year 2026.

Three Esports Championship and Cup events will be held this year, including the Motorsport Australia Esports AC Championship, Motorsport Australia Esports Gran Turismo Championship and Motorsport Australia OFI Cup.

The Motorsport Australia Esports AC Championship has already begun with competitors taking on eight rounds of pure action driving the same cars as Australia’s popular Aussie Racing Cars category.

The season, which began on 15 March at Sandown International Raceway, will take drivers to simulated tracks around Australia at the country’s highest-level circuits.

With four rounds already completed at Wanneroo Raceway, Surfers Paradise Street Circuit and Symmons Plains Raceway, the Motorsport Australia Esports AC Championship is still to head to the Adelaide Street Circuit (10 May), Sydney Motorsport Park (24 May), Oran Park (7 June) and Bathurst (14 June).

All rounds will be viewable on the SimSationalTV YouTube Channel.

Registrations for the Motorsport Australia Esports Gran Turismo Championship may still be made throughout the year conditional upon there being availability on the grid (not guaranteed).

The beginning of the Championship is fast approaching, with the first round to take place at Belgium’s famous Spa-Francorchamps race circuit on 9 May.

Australia’s best Gran Turismo drivers will fight for the 2026 title across 12 rounds at a mix of real and fictional race tracks on the Gran Turismo platform.

The category will also be proudly sponsored by Get Set Financial Services, The Gamesmen, Selby Acoustics and AutoCave, while broadcasted by KidByers.

The Championship will travel to real-life venues such as Fuji Speedway, Suzuka, the Nurburgring and Yas Marina.

All Motorsport Australia Esports Gran Turismo Championship rounds will be streamed on Twitch.TV.

The OFI Cup is still several months away from the season opener, but the first round in September will place the best sim racing open-wheel competitors the nation has to offer on the same grid.

More details on dates, venues and formats for the OFI Cup will be made available towards the end of the year.
