Competitors are gearing up for an epic Motorsport Australia NSW Off Road Championship finale this weekend, where some of the states best Off Road competitors will go head-to-head one last time in the Nabiac Airport Challenge.

Hosted by the Central North Coast Sporting Car Club (CNCSCC), the event will see more than 30 competitors battle it out at Nabiac Motor Sports Complex for the seventh and final round of the season.

The short-course event will see a familiar format at the popular complex, with prologue kicking off the action on a single five and half kilometre lap of the circuit before the first of three races takes place later in the afternoon.

The two races to take place on Saturday will each consist of three laps, before the third and final running on Sunday features an extended 11 laps of a 13.6-kilometre long-course – totalling to approximately 183-kilometres of competitive action across the weekend.

Whoever is able to complete the distance in the least time will ultimately be crowned the winner.

The format leaves plenty of opportunities for competitors to gain the upper hand on their rivals as they look to secure their spots in the final points standings.

Many of the usual suspects will return for the final round, including Matthew Huxley and Nathan Wills who have been neck-and-neck in the title race all season long.

However, nothing will come easy for the two title contenders with plenty of firepower behind eager to spoil the party.

Lachlan Campbell and Kevin Cant also return for one last sprint to the line, leaving both the outright competition and remaining positions in the series standings wide open.

It doesn’t end there either, with the likes of Nicholas Segrott, Darryl Stephenson and Riley Wilson looking to claim an elusive round win for the first time this year.

There will also be plenty on the line in the race for class honours, where crews in Pro Buggy, Prolite, Sportlite, Super 1650 and Sportman will conclude their respective seasons as well as both Extreme 2WD and 4WD, SXS Sport and Pro and Production classes.

The seventh and final round of Motorsport Australia NSW Off Road Championship will be the Nabiac Airport Challenge and will take place on 20-22 October.
