Motorsport Australia has reissued the official results for race two of the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship round at last month’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
With the race ending prematurely following a red flag, preliminary results were issued that incorrectly stated three Pro-Am cars being classified as finishers and before subsequently being awarded points.
The cars in question were that of Sam Shahin (car 13), Rodney Jane (car 77) and Tim Miles (car 7), with neither driver having crossed the finish line at the point of the red flag activation as a result of entering and remaining in the pits.
In accordance with the Motorsport Australia Circuit Race Standing Regulations Articles 5.12.3 and 5.12.3, which stipulate that an automobile must have crossed the Finish Line on the Track under its own power during a suspended race, all three cars will now be removed from the final classification.

Updated provisional results have now been released, which will allow competitors enough time to protest the results ahead of the final round at this weekend’s VAILO Adelaide 500.
