IndyCar – Arlington
Will Power has bucked his quiet start to the 2026 IndyCar season, snaring his first podium with Andretti Global at the Grand Prix of Arlington.
Power started fourth and quickly moved into third after passing Pato O’Ward, sitting behind leaders Marcus Ericsson and Alex Palou in the early stages.
Power inherited the lead when Ericsson and Palou pitted together on Lap 16, committing to an alternate strategy by extending his first stint on the soft tyres.
Power made his first stop on Lap 22 with a comfortable margin over Louis Foster, rejoining the race in sixth and committing to a two-stop strategy while most of the field opted for three.
Power returned to the front before making his final stop with 25 laps remaining. The strategy shuffled the order, with Kyle Kirkwood emerging in the lead ahead of Palou and Ericsson, while Power rejoined further back.
After the final round of stops, Power moved back into podium position and ultimately finished third, three and a half seconds behind race winner Kirkwood, with Palou second.
The result marked Power’s first IndyCar podium for a team other than Team Penske since April 2008, when he won the Grand Prix of Long Beach with KV Racing.
The Grand Prix of Alabama on 28-29 March is next on the calendar for Power as he moves into a tie for 11th in the Drivers Standings on 59 points.
Indy NXT – Arlington
The Grand Prix of Arlington saw a dramatic second half of the race as a pair of multi-car incidents with 16 minutes left in the session upended the session into a dash to the finish.
Overall for the Aussies involved, Lochie Hughes managed a top five finish, while Jack Beeton grabbed 15th and Nicolas Stati settled for 21st following a failed fuel pump and getting a look-in at the top 10 before the complication.

Beeton, who showed good pace in Practice and Qualifying with third-fastest session laps, suffered an unfortunate penalty early on which put the HMD Motorsports athlete back to last. Beeton was able to accumulate seven positions in the last two laps to attain a more favourable finish.
Hughes was also strong in Qualifying, going fourth-fastest in his group with a lap time of 1:39.474, while Stati’s 1:40.052 was good enough for seventh.

The result boosted Hughes further up the Drivers Standings into fourth with 60 points next to him name. Beeton currently sits in 14th on 34 points and Stati completes the top 20 on 23 points.
The Grand Prix of Alabama on 28-29 March will provide the next chance for the three drivers to add to their points total.

Spanish Winter Championship – Aragón
The Spanish Winter Championship came to a close at MotorLand Aragón for the third and final round with Gianmarco Pradel and Patrick Heuzenroeder closing the series in strong fashion.
Pradel and Heuzenroeder had both come off the second round with two finishes in the points, eager to continue that form.

The MP Motorsport driver started off with an 8th in Race 1 prior to the Sprint Race. Following a tricky qualifying session, Pradel bounced back to storm home to the win in the Sprint Race.
Hezenroeder, who tallied a sixth in Race 1 for the weekend for Campos Racing, was unable to get into the top 10 for the Sprint Race or the second feature race, but the Australian is preparing for a massive 2026 following his Formula 3 debut at the Australian Grand Prix.
Adding to his successful weekend, Pradel made the podium again, this time in second to lock-in a further 18 points to push him into sixth on the Drivers Standings with 61 points.
Heuzenroeder concluded the Championship in ninth with 31 points.

GT4 Winter Series – Barcelona
McLaren GT3 Junior Driver Jayden Kelly was in attendance at Barcelona for the final round of the GT4 Winter Series with Greystone GT.
Kelly clocked the seventh-fastest outright time in Qualifying 2 and third-fastest in Pro/Am, putting the #17 McLaren Artura GT4 in a good starting grid position for the later race sessions.

Kelly and co-driver Mark Kempster secured respective fourth-place finishes in their two solo race sessions.
Both drivers finished inside the Pro/Am top five during the joint race session, finishing 17th outright.
Formula Winter Series – Barcelona
Formula competitors made it to the Circuit de Catalunya for the closing round of the Formula Winter Series.
George Proudford-Nalder began the weekend well, compiling two top-10 results in both qualifying sessions. AU4 Champion Noah Killion had a qualifying of two halves, jumping from 26th to 17th in each session.
Proudford-Nalder put together a strong performance in Race 1, starting 10th on the grid and elevating to fourth by the race’s end. Killion was unable to be classified for the session, spinning off the track in the session.

Proudford-Nalder went one better in the reverse grid race, finishing on the podium in third for AKM Motorsport. Killion was able to see out the end of the session, improving to 23rd in the penultimate race of the championship.
Killion maintained his upward trajectory, concluding the weekend in the top 15, while Proudford-Nalder made it a clean sweep of top 10 finishes – this time settling for sixth.
Up next for the pairing, Proudford-Nalder will be the newest Australian to be part of the UK’s respected British F4 Championship for the duration of the year. Killion will continue to feature in Formula 4 for US Racing in 2026.

Formula 1 – Shanghai
Oscar Piastri endured a frustrating end to his weekend at the Chinese Grand Prix, failing to start the race despite showing encouraging pace earlier in the event.
The McLaren driver qualified fifth at the Shanghai International Circuit and looked well positioned to challenge for a strong points finish. Piastri had already demonstrated solid form in the sprint race, finishing sixth after a competitive run in the midfield battle.
However, his race ended before it began. After arriving on the grid, a technical issue forced the team to push the car back to the garage, ruling the Australian out before the start.

The non-start capped a difficult run for Piastri after also failing to take the start in his home Australian Grand Prix earlier in the season.
While the result meant another missed opportunity to score points, Piastri’s pace across the weekend suggested the potential for stronger results once McLaren can deliver a clean race.
