Entries are now open for the Penrite Oil Kalgoorlie Desert Race, the final round of the 2026 Comiskey Mining Services Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC).

The 10th edition of the Kalgoorlie Desert Race will take place in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia from 23–25 October, with competitors set to tackle one of the country’s most enduring desert races while battling for championship honours.

The three-day event will begin on Friday 23 October with the Method Race Wheels Prologue, where crews will contest a short qualifying lap to determine the starting order for Saturday’s section.

Enter the Kalgoorlie Desert Race

The Event will then consist of three sections over the subsequent two days. The Event will be approximately 385 kilometres long in total.

The WA Off Road Championship component will consist of two sections and a prologue over three days. The event will start on Friday 23 October and will be approximately 242 km long.

The challenging mix of fast tracks, technical sections and difficult terrain will provide a fitting finale to the 2026 championship in its 45th year.

Interested AORC and SXS Motorsport Australia Championship crews have until the closing date at 7:00pm WST on Sunday 27 September. Late entries will not be accepted.
