Women’s Introduction to Motorsport offers a hands-on entry point for new motorsport participants looking to get behind the wheel and build confidence in a structured, supportive environment.
Taking place on Wednesday 8 April at MotorMall Raceway, located in Neerabup, Western Australia, the WA Sporting Car Club is partnering with Motorsport Australia to host a Women’s Introduction to Motorsport session at the state’s most prominent circuit.
Whether you’re completely new or keen to refine the basics, the program is designed to develop fundamental driving skills while introducing the core principles of performance and control.
The day combines a guided theory session with practical on-track exercises, covering driving position, vehicle dynamics, braking and car control.

For participant Jalyn Bryce, who attended a Women’s Introduction to Motorsport event last year at Sydney Motorsport Park, the highlight of the day was simply getting out on track in a safe and welcoming space.
“Going out there and actually getting a feel for my car in a safe environment without the usual risks was amazing,” Bryce said.
“It made me realise that it’s not out of reach, and that there are people out there who are happy to answer questions and help you find what you’re looking for.
“It’s given me an idea of what beginner courses to try next to see if I enjoy track driving, but it was only a very brief introduction so I’m still unsure if it’s something I want to pursue. However, without this event, I wouldn’t have known where to start or who to talk to this event was the push I needed to start.”

Participants will work through activities including slalom, swerving and Motorkhana, finishing with competitive Motorkhana runs, offering a clear pathway into motorsport in a safe and approachable setting.
If you’re aged 14 years or older and curious about getting involved in motorsport, this day is for you.
