Six round ARC set for 2019

The 2019 CAMS Australian Rally Championship schedule has been confirmed.

The 2019 CAMS Australian Rally Championship will see Australia’s top rally crews do battle over six exciting rounds on some of the country’s best gravel roads.

The season will kick off with the Forest Rally in Busselton, Western Australia, on 5-7 April. Crews will then head to Canberra for the second round of the Championship on the weekend of 10-11 May for the National Capital Rally.

Rally crews will again visit the Apple Isle for Rally Tasmania on 21-23 June following an outstanding debut event in 2018.

The Eureka Rally will take place in the Ballarat region on 24-25 August, with new sure to bring some exciting new changes for competitors and crews.

The Adelaide Hills Rally, another new and successful event on the scene in 2018, will run as the penultimate round on 20-22 September.

The ARC finale will once again take place at Rally Australia on the Coffs Coast on 15-17 November, coinciding with the final round of the FIA World Rally Championship to give Australia’s best rally crews a chance to mix it with the world’s finest drivers.

CAMS General Manager of Motor Michael Smith said he was looking forward to another season.

“The depth of talent in the ARC is very promising and the fierce competition at the pointy end of the field has produced some amazing performances in 2018, we look forward to seeing more of that next year,” Smith said.

“I’m also really excited to confirm we have some more changes planned for the Championship’s structure, which we look forward to announcing around Rally Australia later this year.”
