CAMS Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships Round 5

When: 28-29
Where: Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

While the AFL Grand Final will take over Melbourne the iconic MCG on Saturday, a final of a different nature will be taking place down in another iconic location over the whole weekend.
 
In what will be one of the biggest turnouts for the year, more than 234 entries will compete in the Victorian circuit final across nine categories, most of which will determine a winner for 2019.
 
Spring time sunny conditions are expected for the season finale and the non-stop action will get underway from 9am on both days. Adult tickets start from $20, while children under 16 enter for free.
 
 

 

 

2019 Prestige Freight Lines Three Springs 360

When: 28-29 September
Where: Three Springs

The CAMS West Australian Off Road Championship heads to Three Springs for the penultimate round of the 2019 championship with a lot on the line.
 
Around 40 crews in the state championship will complete six laps of the 60km circuit, totalling to 360 competitive kilometres across three different stages, making it the ultimate endurance race for the day.
 
With last year’s winners Shane and Curt Elphinstine a late withdrawal from the event, it can be anyone’s event with the championship’s top contenders in Jared Percival, Matthew Birnie and Darren Agrela all entered, while the previous round winner Harleigh Uren will also continue his late charge up the standings.
 
The event’s Prologue begins at midday on Saturday with the first section to begin at 2:45pm. Meanwhile, Sunday’s action begins from 9am.

Historic Sprint Race Meeting

When: 28-29 September
Where: Wakefield Park
 
Another numbers of state circuit finales take place this weekend as the Historic Sports and Racing Car Association of NSW host its popular Spring Festival.
 
Featuring the 2019 season finale of Australian Historic Sports Sedans’ John McCormack Trophy and a popular regularity enduro, fans can enjoy a plethora of stunning historic and classic vehicles all tearing up the Goulburn track.
 
Around 100 competitors will form part of the seven-category race meeting with the action taking place from 9am on each day AEST.
 
Kids under 16 get in free, while adult tickets start from $20 and concessions from $15 or $25.
