Shannons TV hosts confirmed
Tuesday 15 December, 2020
Mark Beretta will head up a new-look on air team for the 2021 Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships.
The on air team for the 2021 Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships has been locked in, with some fresh faces to feature at events next year.
On track action will be shown on free-to-air channel 7mate and will be live streamed on Seven’s innovative 7plus app.
Mark Beretta will host the event coverage, with Abbey Gelmi to work alongside Beretta at selected rounds. While Beretta will be well known to motorsport fans having been part of previous motorsport broadcasts over many years, Gelmi joins the motorsport family with plenty of sports broadcasting under her belt, having worked on Seven’s AFL, cricket and horse racing coverage.
Former Australian cricket star turned Seven commentator Brad Hodge will also be part of the coverage. Hodge is a motorsport competitor in his own right and will add his unique insights to each event.
Leading the commentary from inside the box will be Greg Rust, Matt Naulty and Richard Craill, supported by a new set of pit lane callers including former Supercars news breaker Chris Stubbs, RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship winner Molly Taylor, as well as Jessica Dane, Jack Perkins and current Supercars driver and Bathurst 1000 winner David Reynolds.
The coverage will be led by ARG’s executive producer of broadcast, Andrew Janson, working alongside Seven Motorsport executive producer, Anna Stone.
The first round of the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships takes place at Phillip Island, as part of the Australian All Wheels Race Fest – a combined event with the Australian Superbikes on 19-21 February, 2021.
Ticket and spectator information for all 2021 events will be available soon.
