The Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) Scholarship and Mentoring Program has returned and is accepting applications for 2024.
Now in its 18th year, the Scholarship and Mentoring Program was developed with the help of the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Institute of Sport to help young athletes excel in their respective sports.
The program has a three-tiered system that has up to 32 scholarships on offer and is open to young Australians aged between 15 and 21-years-old.
The top tier scholarships, which will be awarded to six recipients will see them receive one-on-one personal mentoring from a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Member, a $10,000 sporting expense grant and the opportunity to meet fellow Scholarship Holders and Members at a gala dinner.
The 10 successful tier two recipients will receive a $5000 sporting expense grant, while 16 successful tier three winners will receive $2500.
All 32 participants will receive a range of merchandise and fitness recovery equipment to help them in their sports.
Interested participants must have competed at a championship at either International or national level and in a sport recognised by either Sport Australia, Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and/or Paralympics Australia (PA).
