Motorsport Australia's introductory program for women to start in SA
Wednesday 24 April, 2024
Motorsport Australia's Women's Introduction to Motorsport program will hold the first of three events in 2024 at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park.
Motorsport Australia’s successful Women's Introduction to Motorsport program has opened for 2024, with registrations for its first event now being accepted.
Three events will form part of Motorsport Australia’s program this year, which debuted in 2022 before being expanded last year as a result of its popularity, with South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales all part of the calendar.
The initiative’s first event for 2024 will be at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia and will take place on Saturday 15 June.
Register for a place at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park here.
The program covers a range of topics and experiences, all designed for participants to experience motorsport for the first time and in the familiarity of their own road car.
As part of each event, participants will gain valuable experience behind the wheel via a variety of track exercises, where they will learn about car control and gain other skills.
In addition to the hands-on experience from experienced motorsport professionals, participants will also learn how to prepare a vehicle and take part in a network lunch with guest speakers and individuals involved with the sport.
The Women's Introduction to Motorsport program has proved so successful since its inauguration, last year’s event at METEC in Melbourne has been named as a finalist for the
"VicHealth Sport and Active Recreation Initiative of the Year” category in the 2023 Victorian Sport Awards.

The South Australian event will include one session in the morning and one in the afternoon, with both sessions to host the networking lunch.
