FIA Girls on Track launches Empower Program in Sydney

Race Of Champions will host the inaugural of the Empower Program

FIA Girls on Track announces the launch of the Race Of Champions Empower Program, offering young women aged 18-22 in the Greater Sydney area a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at one of the world’s most prestigious motorsport events.

For the first time ever, the Race Of Champions (ROC) will take place at Accor Stadium in Sydney from 6-8 March 2025, bringing together top drivers and motorsport enthusiasts from around the globe.

In partnership with Motorsport Australia’s FIA Girls on Track initiative, the Race Of Champions Empower Program will immerse participants in the fast-paced world of motorsport. The program will offer invaluable behind-the-scenes access, allowing young women to work alongside industry professionals and gain insights into the dynamic processes that drive a global motorsport event.

Empower Program Highlights

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of roles including:

  • Show production
  • Passenger coordination
  • Social media
  • Media relations
  • Hospitality experiences

This hands-on experience is designed to equip participants with practical skills and an understanding of what it takes to deliver a world-class motorsport event.

Applications Now Open

Applications for the Race Of Champions Empower Program are now open to young women aged 18-22 residing in the Greater Sydney area. Spaces are limited, and interested participants are encouraged to apply early.

Available positions include:

Show Team (1x position)
Learn from the show team with the show acts, ensuring the acts are ready on time so there are no delays and supporting the toppers where needed to help ensure a seamless show happens and in time with broadcast.

Passenger Team (6x positions)
Learn from the passenger team to ensure passengers have arrived on time, have signed their waiver form and the passengers are car ready i.e. in their overalls and helmet. This is a fast-paced environment, passengers have to be ready as the cars will not wait.

Social Media Team (1x position)
Learn from the social media manager and team to schedule posts and ensure social media is going out on time. The social media team is a busy team and requires organisation and creative thinking.

Media & Driver Team (1x position)
This is a shared role with the media and driver team depending on the needs required on site. Learning from the media and driver team to ensure the drivers are in the right locations when needed. Helping with any other adhoc issues during the day.

Behind the Scenes Tour Support (2x positions)
This role is to learn from the hospitality team with the VIP behind the scenes tour of ROC 2025. VIP’s have the opportunity to see the behind the scenes of ROC and how it all works during the action. Ideally this role would be suitable for someone who is confident, chatty and understands motorsport.

Eligibility and Application Process

The Race of Champions Empower Program is open to young women living in the Greater Sydney area, aged 18-22. To apply, applicants must submit a resume and cover letter via the official application form and obtain a Motorsport Australia Officials Licence along with completion of the General Officials Training Module.
