Italian F4 Championship – Misano
Australian drivers Noah Killion and James Anagnostiadis tackled Round 6 of the Italian F4 Championship at Misano, with both drivers competing across the weekend’s three races.
Killion (#13 US Racing) showed strong speed throughout the weekend, qualifying fourth in Group 1 before securing a 10th-place finish in Race 1.
He improved further in Race 2, crossing the line in fifth to record his best result of the weekend and continue his competitive campaign in the championship.
Anagnostiadis (#32 R-ace GP) qualified 11th in Group 2 and finished 20th in Race 1. He matched that result in Race 3, initially taking the chequered flag in 20th before a 10-second time penalty dropped him to 24th in the final classification.
The Italian F4 Championship will now head to Mugello for the season finale on 1 November.
European GT4 Series – Zandvoort
Lachlan Evennett has podiumed again in P2 in the Pro class in Race 1 European GT4 Round 5 At Circuit Zandvoort in Netherlands. Starting from P5 on the grid Lachlan took the car over in P3 after the driver change and with a solid second stint brought it home in P2.
The Evennett-Houben pro pairing finished P5 in Race 2 from starting P10 on the grid to pick up the second most points over the weekend with Lachlan also picking up the Rookie of the Race award in Race 2.
Evennett will now compete next weekend in the Supercars Iberian GT4 series as the Pro driver in a Pro-Am entry ran by his European GT4 Portuguese team, Speedy Motorsports at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain.
Following this he will compete in the Nürburgring Nordschleife Series Round 10 and then European GT4 Round 6 at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve at Portimao, Portugal.
British Hillclimb Championship – Prescott
Australian British Hillclimb Championship representative Dean Tighe has finished his first full-time hill climb campaign abroad on a high, securing a a championship point and a runoff appearance at Prescott.
Tighe, who had made three run-offs for the year, earned a spot in his fourth in the final stop for the season. It was the first run-off Tighe would qualify for since Round 4 at Craigantlet.
After qualifying inside the top 12 for the first of two run-offs in the #198 4.0-litre Judd DB4 V8 2019 Gould GR59, Tighe clocked a 37.75 on course to finish 10th, earning him a lone championship point as a result.
The point took his season total to seven to put him in a tie for 17th in the drivers’ standings. Tighe was unable to qualify for the round’s second run-off bringing his season to a close.
