Australian sim racing competitor Gregory Przybyl has been announced as the newest Development Driver for Ferrari Esports, marking a significant milestone in the young Australian’s competitive sim racing career.
Przybyl’s Ferrari opportunity represents the culmination of years of dedication, admitting there were times when he questioned reaching a development seat was possible.
“To be representing Ferrari is a dream I’ve had since being a kid. I’m very thankful for the chance to be able to do that,” Przybyl said.
“When I heard the news, I was quite excited. This is something I’ve been working towards for many years now, there was a period when I thought getting a development seat wasn’t on the cards.”

The 17-year-old believes the experience of working alongside Ferrari’s established F1 Esports operation will provide an invaluable opportunity to continue developing as a driver.
“Ferrari are the most complete F1 Esports team in the world, so to be able to work with the best and learn from them is a privilege, joining them will be a great opportunity for me to improve myself as a driver,” Przybyl said.
“I look forward to being able to challenge myself and see how I compare to future teammates like Bari [Broumand] and Ismael [Fahssi].”
Przybyl’s journey began at just six years old, when he received a non-force feedback steering wheel and F1 2015 for his birthday.
After several years of playing the F1 games casually, he made the transition into league racing in 2021 before beginning to make his mark competitively towards the end of the F1 23 game cycle.

Working alongside a small group of Australian competitors, Przybyl steadily developed his skills before joining the Veloce Esports Academy ahead of F1 24.
Since then, he has represented Veloce Academy in championships including PSGL F2 and the PSGL Eseries.
Przybyl believes the team has the capability to achieve the F1 Sim Racing World Championship. His own long-term aspirations are equally ambitious, with the Australian hoping to eventually earn the opportunity to compete in the F1 Sim Racing World Championship himself.

As Development Driver, Przybyl will focus on supporting Ferrari’s existing drivers while continuing to hone his own skills, whether that involves preparing for major races or providing a teammate with a practice partner.
“I want to see if I have what it takes to race the best drivers in the world,” Przybyl said.
“Personally, I want to develop my skills and try to improve myself every day. I also want to help the drivers by making their lives as easy as possible, whether that be preparing in advance for big races or being there when they need someone to practice with.
“Off track I think it’s a great chance to meet new people and build connections with people from all different backgrounds from all over the world.”
