Nominations open for Motorsport Australia State and National Awards

Motorsport Australia has opened nominations for the Motorsport Australia State and National Awards for the 2026 season.

The Motorsport Australia National Awards will take place on Sunday, 7 February 2027 at RACV City Club in Melbourne where we recognise the sport’s highest achievers, including outright National Championship and Series winners and recipients of merit-based honours.

The annual awards celebrate the achievements and dedication of people across every level of the sport, including competitors, clubs, volunteers, officials, and administrators.

Among the top 2025 award winners was 2025 Supercars Champion Chaz Mostert, who was awarded the prestigious Peter Brock Medal, meanwhile the Jack Brabham Award was received by emerging rally talent Taylor Gill for his exceptional season in the Junior World Rally Championship.

Nominations are open across a range of categories, providing an opportunity to recognise those who have gone above and beyond in their roles.

Notably, we’re calling for nominations for each State and Territory Official of the Year and Australian Motorsport Official of the Year, which recognise the exceptional commitment and contribution of Motorsport Australia Officials.

In 2025, New South Wales-based official Jacqueline Devereaux was awarded Australian Motorsport Official of the Year, while Ian Tate, John Hurney, and Mike Breen were each announced as Life Members for long-standing contributions to motorsport.

Whether their contribution has been made on the track, behind the scenes or within their local club, the awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge the people whose passion and dedication help to keep Australian motorsport moving forward.

The nomination process is quick and easy to complete online via the Motorsport Australia Awards page where you’ll also find the criteria for each award category.

Successful recipients will be honoured across a series of events throughout Australia in early 2027.

Motorsport Australia’s State and Territory Awards provide an opportunity for local motorsport communities to come together and recognise the past year’s achievements.
