Motorsport Australia is committed to providing the most comprehensive insurance cover for all individuals who form part of Australia’s motorsport community and there are several minor enhancements implemented as part of Motorsport Australia’s insurance policy during 2026.
Expanded protection for those who keep events running safely is among the key additions for 2026.
Coverage has been amended to now include provision for recovery and emergency response vehicles if they are damaged on track whilst responding to an event, with cover up to $100,000 per vehicle with a $5,000 excess.
Members will also benefit from increased support for out-of-pocket medical expenses following an incident.
The personal accident policy has seen key improvements, increasing the non-Medicare medical expense benefit from $2,000 to $5,000.
Additional changes have been made to improve access to first responder benefits and broaden emergency assistance coverage.
This includes adding a $25,000 emergency transport benefit, which now includes cover for heat, stroke and heart-related issues previously excluded. This is mutually exclusive of medical declarations made during licence application processes.
These benefits all combine to provide greater protection and security for the Motorsport Australia community.
