Drivers from South Australia and Northern Territory wanting to earn some extra funds for their clubs now have the opportunity with entries for the CAMS Club Challenge  - SA/NT now open.

Presented by Famous Insurance, the Sporting Car Club of South Australia (SCCSA) will host the third Challenge this year next month at Collingrove Hillclimb in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.

Interested clubs have until 6pm (AEST) on 13 June to register their place with an entry fee of $300 to get involved and each club is eligible to enter a maximum of two teams, which must contain between three and five members.

Last year, more than 60 drivers across 14 teams had eight runs up the popular hill with Circuit Excel, a three-driver team made up of Danny Maul, Dave Shaw and Nathan Green claiming the top prize for the second consecutive year.

This year, the trio are likely to return to defend their title and aim for an incredible three-in-a-row, while the SCCSA will be looking to improve on their third place last year.

The event is a single day team hill climb with teams having multiple attempts on the hill climb track, with the aim of posting the fastest time against previous track records and other clubs.

There is prize money available and the team holding the lowest score from their accumulated run times will be crowned the state’s club challenge champion of 2019.
