The 2020 Superloop Adelaide 500 will play host to the opening round of the Stadium SUPER Trucks series next February.
 
The popular series will make its return to Australian shores, with CAMS and SST recently executing a three-year agreement addressing earlier safety concerns. It is also the Adelaide 500’s first confirmed support category.
 
SST will be visible across all four days of action, with practice on Thursday and racing throughout the weekend.

Adelaide 500 General Manager Alistair MacDonald was excited to confirm the spectacular category’s return to South Australia.
 
“We are committed to putting on a show, and securing the SST’s is just one of many exceptional support categories that we’re excited to host during the event in 2020,” MacDonald said.
 
“The announcement coincides with the release of tickets on sale to the general public, so we are encouraging all fans to jump online and secure their seats for the 2020 event.”
 
SST representative Nathan Cayzer was pleased to bring the category back to Adelaide.
 
“We have worked really hard to have SST return back to racing in Australia under the CAMS banner, and to be able to race again is exciting,” Cayzer said.
 
“We look forward to bringing the series back to Adelaide once again and showcasing our thrill-seeking sport in front of South Australians.”
 
The SSTs are all identically prepared and powered by a 600 horsepower Chevrolet LS V8 engine, with Australians Matthew Brabham and Paul Morris are expected to line-up in Adelaide alongside series founder Robby Gordon.
 
2020 will be the 22nd running of the iconic Adelaide 500, the season opener for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
 
Further support categories and off-track entertainment will be announced in the coming months.
