The Repco Supercars Championship has decided to postpone the Winton Supersprint for a second time due to the current restrictions and border closures around the country.
Originally scheduled to take place in May, the event was first postponed until the end of July as a result of Victoria’s then state-wide lockdown in response to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
With a number of other states now in lockdown and closing their borders, Supercars’ decision to move the date has been made accommodate to teams, campers, spectators and officials.
A new date for the round has yet to be confirmed but will be released in the coming weeks, while tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new running date.
The next round of the Repco Supercars Championship is the NTI Townsville 500 on 9-11 July
