The fifth round of the Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) takes place this weekend, with the country’s best crews heading to the South Australia to take part in the Adelaide Hills Rally.

Hosted in the scenic Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula regions, crews will compete across 18 stages throughout the weekend with 169 competitive kilometres of on stage action.

The penultimate 2024 ARC round will see 23 ARC competitors test themselves on the shire roads, as well as 14 Motorsport Australia South Australian Rally Championship (SARC) competitors.

This weekend’s event is classified as a sprint and consists of two heats over the two days of rallying, with valuable points awarded on Saturday and Sunday.

The Transport Festival located in South Terrace, Strathalbyn, will cap off the event on Sunday afternoon, offering crews a final opportunity to claim victory in the hills.

Headlining the entry list are current outright leaders Harry Bates and Coral Taylor for Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia, no doubt eager to make it back-to-back wins after their Middle of Everywhere Gippsland Rally success.

The reigning champions arrive in the Adelaide Hills fresh off their first international campaign at Rally Hokkaido, resulting in a second-place finish in what was part of a Toyota exchange initiative.

Pedders Suspension and Brakes teammates Scott Pedder and Glenn Macneall will also be attendance this weekend, eager to reignite their Championship hopes after an unfortunate finish cost them second in the Championship at Gippsland.

A spectator guide is available on rally.com.au, with designated points available across the weekend including plenty of activity at Pedders Rally Central.

“We’re excited to be taking the Championship back to South Australia, with the Adelaide Hills offering some of the best stages on the calendar both crews and spectators,” Adrian Coppin, Motorsport Australia General Manager Motorsport & Events, said.

“It’s the second last round of the year, so this event could really be make or break for some of our competitors at the top of the outright and cup standings.”

“We can’t wait to get the rally started.”

The Adelaide Hills Rally will kick off in Mount Barker on Friday 13 September with a Rally Show at 6:30pm AEST before the on stage action officially begins at The Glen on Saturday morning.

Fans unable to attend the event can catch all the action via the ARC social media channels, the Subaru Results Hub, as well as the daily wrap shows available each night free and on demand via 7+ and YouTube. A highlights show will also be available post event on both 7+ and 7mate.
