European Le Mans Series – 4 Hours of Barcelona
Australian driver James Allen kicked off his 2025 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) with a competitive showing in the LMP2 Pro-Am.
Racing Nielsen Racing’s Oreca 07-Gibson, the 2023 ELMS LMP2 Champion drove alongside returning ELMS driver Anthony Wells and former F2 driver Sérgio Sette Câmara.
The team qualified sixth for their class, with a best lap of 1:33.781 and a 2.671 second gap behind United Autosports.
The British team finished seventh in LMP2 Pro-Am, giving the Allen and his teammates room to build on the 2025 season.
In the LMP3 category, rising Aussie talent Griffen Peebles teamed up with Leonard Weiss and Torsten Kratz in WTM by Rinaldi Racing’s Duqueine D09-Toyota, securing sixth in class and 24th outright with a time of 4:01:32.275.

Peebles also had a standout performance in the Le Mans Cup, claiming victory in LMP3 Pro-Am class alongside co-driver Steve Parrow for Rinaldi Racing.
Their Ligier JS P325-Toyota finished ninth outright with a time of 2:01:00.779, marking a strong start to the season.

Meanwhile, Garnet Patterson made his LMGT3 debut with United Autosports, sharing the McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo with Michael Birch and Wayne Boyd.
Patterson and his team qualified ninth and were able finish 11th in the race for the LMGT3, completing 4:01:36.652 hours of racing.
The 2025 European Le Mans Series resumes on May 4 with the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.

Formula One – Japanese Grand Prix
Oscar Piastri continued his strong form with McLaren, qualifying third with a time of 1:27.027 and converting it into another podium with P3 in the race.
The Victorian driver finished behind teammate Lando Norris, reinforcing McLaren’s strength in the 2025 season so far.
Jack Doohan had a tougher weekend in the Alpine after being knocked out in Q1.
Doohan began the race in 19th but was able to bounce back due to the team’s strategy choice, allowing Doohan get in a few overtakes and climb to 15th by the end of the race, finishing behind Carlos Sainz.
Prepare to see the Aussies at Bahrain for the fourth round of the 2025 Formula One Championship on April 11-13.

GB4 Championship – Donington Park GP
Australian Jack Taylor, racing for Fortec Motorsports, showcased an impressive pace in qualifying, securing second with a time of 1:27:846.
Taylor finished just 0.122 seconds off pole-sitter Isaac Phelps, driving for Elite Motorsport.
In Race 1, the Aussie unfortunately had contact from behind, resulting in a puncture and finishing the race 23rd.
Although he struggled with the tyres due to locking from the puncture in the first race, Taylor he was able to produce strong pace, finishing sixth in Race 2 and 10th in Race 3.
The second round of the GB4 Championship takes place on April 26-27.
