Motorsport Australia is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 FIA Girls on Track Empower – Supercars Volunteers program, delivered in partnership with Supercars, offering young women an opportunity to step into the heart of elite-levels of national motorsport as an official.
This Girls on Track Empower – Supercars Volunteers Program is designed to provide participants the opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, and gain insight into the many opportunities available as a Race and Event Official.
Officials are the backbone of community motorsport, and their contribution is invaluable in delivering safe, fair and fun events across the nation.
These opportunities are available for women aged 18-22 and will take place at four Supercars events, including Perth Super 440, Ipswich Super 440, Gold Coast 500 and Sandown 500.
Applications for all rounds open 18 May and close 3 July, with successful applicants notified in July.
Nine participants per round will rotate through three key officiating roles, gaining practical experience and working alongside trained officials in live event environments.
Officiating roles include:
Flag Marshals – Uses flags trackside to signal drivers and report incidents while experience the action up close.
Gate Keepers – Manage entry points, scan tickets, and control restricted‑area access.
Grandstand Ushers – Check and sight tickets at grandstand entry points, ensuring authorised access.
Information Booth Attendants – Provide event information, directions, and assistance to patrons.
Scrutineers – Inspect vehicles and gear to ensure safety and technical compliance.
Support Paddock Marshals – Coordinate safe vehicle movement and organisation within the paddock.
Interested applicants can find more information and register on the FIA Girls on Track – Empower page.
