The Motorsport Australia Queensland Esports State Championship finals will get underway this weekend, with 12 of the state's best virtual drivers to go head-to-head in the inaugural edition of the event.

The participants were hand selected by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Next Level Racing after outlasting more than 70 other participants who competed an incredible 1500 laps in the pre-qualifying event in July.

The fastest eight drivers automatically qualified for the State Championship finals, while the remaining four places were wildcard entries who represent QUT and Next Level Racing.

Each competitor will attend the finals in person at the QUT Garden Point campus and will compete across a number of stages in a fixed Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 at Mount Panorama Circuit (Bathurst) on iRacing.
