Shannons SpeedSeries returns to the sunshine state this weekend for the sixth round of 2024, with seven categories delivering a plethora of on track action at EVENTelec Race Queensland.
This weekend’s round will feature a wide mix of racing, from short sprint races through to longer endurance events – the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series with a three-hour enduro on Sunday morning.
The event will again be broadcast across the Seven Network, with extended live coverage across Saturday and Sunday on 7plus.

Joining GT4 at Queensland Raceway will be the Fanatec GT World Challenge – powered by AWS, Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, Trico Trans Am Series, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge, Giti Australian Formula Open and the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series.

Spectators will be the big winners at EVENTelec Race Queensland, with ample spectating opportunities across the weekend, and as with all Shannons SpeedSeries events, free entry to the pit paddock and pre-race grid walk on Sunday for the GT World Challenge Australia race at 11.35am.

Free autograph signing sessions will also take place on Saturday at 12.40pm and 2.30pm near the event café.
Fans can also enjoy free access to EVENTelec Race Queensland on Friday to enjoy the practice, qualifying and race action taking place.
Motorsport Australia General Manager of Motorsport & Events Adrian Coppin said the weekend promised to deliver plenty of racing action for those at Queensland Raceway and those watching on at home.
“We’re really excited to be at Queensland Raceway for EVENTelec Race Queensland and with a massive seven categories on show across three days of action,” Coppin said.
“Motorsport Australia has focused on delivering a great fan experience at the event, with plenty for everyone to do – as well as the ability to access all areas throughout the event. That includes full access to the paddock for all ticket holders, as well as being part of the pre-race grid walk on Sunday ahead of the GT race.
“For those unable to make it, our TV coverage on 7plus on Saturday and Sunday will showcase the best racing across the seven categories and we can’t wait for it all to get started.”
EVENTelec Race Queensland begins on Friday 2 August at Queensland Raceway, wrapping up on Sunday 4 August.
