Entries open for worldwide Esports rally competition

The FIA Esports Global Rally Tour will bring together thousands of drivers across all FIA regions through online qualifiers and in-person regional shoot-out events in the new format competition.

This innovative new event is open to everyone, with no restriction on skill level or licence type. The first stage will be held as an online qualifier from 12-25 May 2026 using Assetto Corsa Rally with competitors required to submit their time on the Wales – Hafren North – Cwmbiga Stage using a Hyundai i20N Rally2.

Fifty six drivers – eight from each participating region – will continue to the next stage for their region, which for Australian participants is the Asia-Pacific Shoot-out.

These regional shootouts will involve a knock-out format with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final held at separate in-person events around the globe. Australian qualifiers will compete at the Asia-Pacific Shoot-out during the FIA Conference in Macau on 22-25 June 2026.

A Motorsport Australia Esports licence is the only requirement for those who qualify for this event.

The Tour concludes with the top 16 drivers, including two from Asia-Pacific, competing at the FIA Esports Global Rally Tour Finals held during the prestigious FIA Awards Week in Shanghai in December. This competition will involve a pre-event contest to determine the final two drivers who will compete head to head on the world’s stage at the FIA Awards Ceremony.

Registrations for the online qualifier are now open and will remain open until the qualification closes on Monday 25 May.
