Motorsport Australia’s Women’s Introduction to Esports program has begun providing women with a beneficial way of getting involved in Esports, through a welcoming, confidence‑building, and fun method of sim racing.
Supported by Project Motor Racing and backed by the FIA, the free eight‑week online Women’s Introduction to Esports program, which began on 29 June, is designed to open a new pathway to the motorsport format in partnership with Full Send SimSport.
Project Motor Racing, a fully immersive driving simulation platform, has been instrumental with its support of the program, which also include providing game codes free of charge to the program’s participants to use.
As part of Project Motor Racing’s involvement, it has designed brand new bespoke liveries for all of the program’s 22 participants to use in their training and in-game play delivered through the program’s coaching partner Full Send SimSport.

Project Motor Racing is an authentic simulation, but Chief Operating Officer at Straight4 Ryan Hoey outlined that does not mean it should feel closed off to new players.
“Supporting the Women’s Introduction to Esports program is exactly the kind of activation we are proud to be part of, combining serious racing, proper competition, and a welcoming route into the sport,” Hoey said.
“With PMR available across PC and console, we can help bring high-quality sim racing to more players than ever.
“The Mazda livery is a brilliant reminder of what sim racing can do: inspire new drivers, create new communities, and open the door to motorsport.
“We’re proud to support the Women’s Introduction to Esports program, and we wish every competitor the very best of luck.”

Program participants, under the expert tuition of Australian racing driver, Caitlin Wood, will progress from learning core driving fundamentals and track familiarisation through to advanced car control, racecraft and situational awareness, building speed and consistency each session.
The program culminates in a 10-lap race simulation and showcase event in the eighth week featuring friendly competition and awards for clean driving and most improved performance.
