The Impreza WRX Club Victoria will be running three Come and Try days at the famous Sandown International Raceway in 2022 as it looks to give aspiring individuals a kickstart into the world of motorsport.
 
Having built a solid reputation of running safe and enjoyable track days for many years, the Impreza WRX Club Victoria provides all newcomers with experienced club members as instructors throughout the day.
 
During each run, the instructors will give guidance on multiple items such as track layout, the right driving techniques and typical track day etiquette for all members and participants.
 
The events give drivers great value for money with each day seeing participants get up to six 10 minute sessions behind the wheel on the track.  
 
With the first of three sessions taking place on the thirteenth of this month, the Come and Try days are for either speed licencees or single-day licence holders and for individuals with any make or model.


Impreza WRX Club Victoria President Paul Salcombe was looking forward to welcoming more individuals to the community and believed the day is the perfect initiation.
 
“We really enjoy running these days because it’s great to see people’s first steps into the motorsport world,” Salcombe said.
 
“For us, days like this are really important and the sessions are untimed because it’s more about encourage drivers to focus on safe driving and technique rather than lap time.
 
“Of course, women are also encouraged and welcomed along to our track days. At many events the club provides an experienced female instructor to make everyone feel comfortable.
 
“While we love our Subaru’s, any make or model are welcome to any of our track days, including these Come and Try days, because we just like having like-minded people at our events.
 
“It’s a fun and friendly environment and I highly recommend anyone thinking about making a step behind the wheel to attend the event and get involved.”
